The School of Architecture & Interior Design is working with the informal settlement of Umbumbulu in South Africa to improve the housing for the impoverished community. The first project is a modest house for a family with a disabled father who currently live in a one-room shelter. The house will be a development model for additional dwellings for other needy families.

The Andrews University Orchestra will be touring Eastern Europe (Romania, Hungary, Austria, and Czech Republic) in May 2018. This is a non-academic trip; therefore, the students are responsible for paying the total cost. Some of the members of the orchestra, come from low income families and will require some kind of financial assistance to be able to participate. There are additional expenses such as instrument and concert hall rental, as well as extra baggage and other miscellaneous fees. The students’ goal is $20,000 by the end of April, and your investment in our student musicians will allow them to represent Jesus Christ and Andrews University in a positive way.
This non-endowed scholarship was begun by an anonymous donor on January 30, 2017 and is awarded to an engineering student(s) with high academic achievement without regard to financial need. The student(s) will be a junior majoring in engineering with an ABET-accredited area of concentration. Preference is given to student(s): in mechanical and electrical engineering; among the top three (3) academic performers based on cumulative GPAs; and plan to obtain a graduate degree in engineering. The department has the discretion to divide the annual award among the recipient(s) as deemed appropriate.
The Adventist Digital Library exists to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world through direct and unlimited access to Adventist historical materials as well as other resources within copyright boundaries. Your gifts provide scholars, researchers, and historians the resources they need to publish new insights on Adventist theology and history. Teachers, pastors, parents, students, and the next generation of Christians can also take advantage of these documents. The Adventist Online Learning Conference provides a space for faculty, teachers and administrators to explore and discuss current trends and best practices in online education. Funds donated to the conference will cover the costs of bringing in keynote speakers, providing translation for Spanish-speaking attendees, and providing the food for luncheon and dinner keynotes.

This endowment was established on August 20, 1997, by Sylvia Fagal, in honor of her mother Alice G. Marsh. This endowment was established to help defray travel expense and provide an honorarium to one speaker, chosen by a majority of the Department of Nutrition and Wellness faculty, per year from outside the Andrews University campus who will make a presentation that will benefit both current students and offer continuing professional education credits to dietitians.
Established by Timbul, Ellen and Rachel Tambunan to honor their parents and grandparents, this scholarship is to be awarded annually to student(s) enrolled in the clinical laboratory science program at Andrews University.

The Andrews Community Counseling Center (ACCC) provides free psychological services to individuals in the Michiana community who may otherwise not have access to mental health care. We rely on donations to support resources that benefit clients and training of the graduate students who provide services at the ACCC, such as, replacing the 25-year-old carpet and furniture to create a more therapeutic environment. Funds are also needed for resources to enhance counseling, diagnosis, and treatment outcomes. Recipients are needy and worthy female students enrolled in any graduate program of the University, following a successful term of cross-cultural mission service (preferably six years of service, minimum of four years). Recipients are recommended and supervised by the Women's Scholarship Committee.
Architecture Bolivia Mission Sion is a prevention program that provides care and training for children in the city of Santa Cruz. Children identified as being at risk to run away from home and live on the streets come to Sion each day for tutoring, counseling, and skills training.
This addition to the Architecture building will replace the aging temporary trailers and provide studio and adequate shop space, combining the wood shop and the design/build shop.
Your gift will impact the church members, children, and community outreach of a small SDA Church in Madaba, Jordan. The project includes clearing the rubble from an empty lot and the new design and construction of a playground. In addition, the project will contain a church gathering area for outdoor services, potlucks, and future pathfinders, creating clean and safe conditions.
Your gifts help design/build a capstone project by 5th year architecture students. The project each year ranges from building a "Tiny House" for a person in need, to designing and equipping a medical or dental clinic in a shipping container. After outfitting, the container is shipped to a selected remote area of the world providing much needed dental or health care to local populations. Students in the School of Architecture & Interior Design began the design and construction of the Palpa, Peru, Adventist school in 2008. Luz Ruiz-Tenorio organized this project to honor her mother. The Class of 1964 has partnered with the Arboretum for their 50-year class gift on this special renovation project for the area between Bell Hall and Johnson Gym. A garden area will be created with benches and trees where students can go to rest, study and rejuvenate. The project will cost about $12,000. This includes a new door, patio area, outdoor furniture, and labor costs. The Class of ’64 is excited to spearhead this project, and would love the support of donors like you to provide a great update to the landscape between two of our most well-used buildings.
Established by H. Thomas Goodwin in September, 2012, the Biology Graduate Legacy Endowed Scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a graduate degree in Biology and who has an approved research proposal. Funds will be used to cover reimbursable expenses for research and discipline-specific convention travel, and possibly summer stipends. This fund honors the legacy of four Biology faculty, strong supporters of graduate education in Biology, who retired in 2012: Bill Chobotar, David Steen, John Stout, and Dennis Woodland.

This event is held every five years and is the penultimate gathering of pathfinders in a comporee setting. The purpose of the camporee is to establish community between pathfinder clubs from around the world helping individual pathfinders and their leaders sense being part of a world-wide organization.
This ministry is directly aimed at reaching out to Adventist and non-Adventist young children. The Center partners with the North American Division and the Lake Union Conference to provide trainng, networking, and resources.
Cruise with a Mission operates as a ministry of the Center for Youth Evangelism (CYE), and is designed for young adults 18 and older so they can experience a "vacation with purpose." Gifts for Cruise with a Mission allow the trip to be a bit more affordable for each volunteer. Thank you for considering a tax-deductible donation towards our next trip. The ministry reaches out to young adults in providing a setting for fellowship and service. This ministry is involved in research directed at making the Adventist church more effective in its attracting and retaining young adult members. Other research activities look at other aspects of the church's effectiveness in reaching out in its other evangelistic and educational ministries.
This ministry is intended to give Adnvetist young people direct hands-on involvement in disaster relief and mission service. CYE uses these domestic and international trips to train Seminary students how to lead short-term disaster relief and mission trips.

Established on June 8, 1993, by Xiaoming Xu, Jianming Wei and family, this scholarship benefits students from Mainland China or Chinese students whose home is in the Orient. The donor established this endowment in grateful appreciation of the financial aid received while a student at Andrews University.
The Class of 1965 is establishing this endowed scholarship, as their 50-year class gift project, in order to commemorate their time here at Andrews and benefit current students. Some of the highlights of the CHHS building include intentional spiritual concepts in the planning; ADA compliance for all spaces with digital monitors for signage on each floor; environmental friendliness; a state-of-the art simulation center, which will reduce the need for clinical placement as student enrollment increases; innovation and cutting edge equipment; and a mini food court in the common lounge with healthy choices.
Gifts to the College of Health & Human Services Emergency Scholarship Fund are used to assist students with unforeseen financial needs. Disbursed funds are “stackable” (added to the APS) at the discretion of the Dean in collaboration with the Student Financial Services Office.

The Famine Relief Project relieves the hunger and suffering the Adventist people of Southwest Madagascar are experiencing due to the famine which started in 2021 and is still ongoing. This endowed scholarship was initiated December 10, 2016 by the Women's Advisory Scholarship Committee and on behalf of friends of Demetra Lougani Andreasen. The scholarship is awarded to some worthy and deserving female graduate student(s) in descending order of preference as follows: 1. from Eastern Europe; 2. from Europe; and/or 3. from the United States.
Donated funds provide student travel expenses to Alaska, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Africa, Peru, Bolivia, and Guyana, as well as other countries where students provide aviation maintenence support for mission aircraft. Student expenses while in the host country are provided by the local mission entity.

Each year, our senior nursing students take part in the Intercultural Mission Nursing class, where they have the opportunity to go on a mission trip and use their skills and knowledge in a different cultural environment. Each year, DPT Students and Faculty volunteer physical therapy services at various locations across the globe. These mission trips give DPT students the opportunity to experience application of their skills in a different culture. Additionally, PT alumni are often part of the team which provides a mutually beneficial teaching and learning experience for our students and alumni. Gifts to this fund will assist with travel and accommodation costs as well as equipment needs for the site. Past mission trips have been in Honduras, Jamaica, Bangladesh, and Lebanon. This endowment was established on December 12, 2013, by Dr. Max T. Taylor and Linda S. Taylor. This scholarship will be awarded to a worthy and deserving senior who meets the following criteria: has a financial need; has a GPA of 3.5 or greater; is pursuing any bachelor's degree with a pre-med, pre-vet, or pre-dent emphasis; and is of good character. It is the donors' intention that, eventually, at least one senior student will have a full tuition scholarship. Established in January 2023, the Erhard SOW Safar Endowed Scholarship Fund honors Gary and Pat Erhard for their years of service on Andrews Academy's international missions trips. The funds will support the SOW (Service Outreach, Witnessing) Safari, including items needed by the local mission church, building supplies, any Maranatha construction fee, or to assist any student in paying their SOW Safari trip fees.
The School of Evangelism is under the direction of an approved evangelist. Students learn how to organize evangelistic series, conduct visitations, present compelling messages, and meet local community needs.
Each field school incorporates both classroom contact and field exposure and is tailored to reach unbelievers in a wide variety of settings. Field schools help students see that there are different ways to evangelize in any context. They learn practices that are relevant in any ministry setting they find themselves in after graduation.
The School of Social & Behavioral Sciences' Experiential Learning Fund allows more students access to high-impact learning experiences such as professional conferences and academic study tours. These experiences provide invaluable hands-on experiential learning the cannot be done as effectively in a classroom. This fund bridges the gap to offer these experiences to all department students, regardless of financial ability.
First the Blade provides assistance for unsponsored Seminary students who put their school-age children in church school. Our mission is to make it possible for all children of Seminary students to have religious education while their parents are studying, and for them to leave even more dedicated, Seventh-day Adventist, Christian disciples of Jesus Christ than they were when they arrived.
The Fonda Chafee Endowed Scholarship was started by Carol Lewis on November 23, 2016 and is awarded to some worthy and deserving female student(s) with African citizenship, enrolled at Andrews University.
This scholarship was established in memory of F. D. Nichol, long-time editor of Seventh-day Adventist periodicals (1923-1966), by one who benefited from his Christian counsel. It is awarded annually to a student in his/her first year at Andrews University by the chair of the University's Student Financial Services Committee. It goes to a candidate who shows the most promise for future service to God and humanity, and who is most in need of assistance.
Established by Frank L. and Alice G. on June 30, 1975, this scholarship is awarded annually to one, or possibly two, worthy and deserving undergraduate students(s) in the Department of Nutrition and Wellness.
In the summer of 2012, some members of the Berrien Springs Spanish Church were impressed with the need to provide financial assistance to the members of their church who wanted to attend Andrews Academy but were unable to. Thanks to Jamie Jorge, who gave a benefit concert for this purpose, the Friends of AA Scholarship was established. Since then, two students have been able to attend AA who may not have been able to otherwise. Continued contributions to this fund help provide support to members of the Berrien Springs Spanish Church who have a desire to send their children to Andrews Academy, but require financial assistance.

Since 1909, Griggs International Academy (GIA) has provided programs for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. GIA works with students who are at risk to help them earn a high school diploma while they support their families. The Habenicht & Rivera Endowed Scholarship Award was created June 4, 2019 by Laurence and Debbie Habenicht. This endowed scholarship award is to be awarded annually to some worthy and deserving student(s) enrolled at Andrews University who meeting the following criteria:
a. First consideration given to student(s) who is/are of Puerto Rican heritage or student(s) who has/have attended school in Puerto Rico; second consideration given to student(s) from the Inter-American Division;
b. Is/are enrolled in studies for health professions;
c. Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.4;
d. Strong supporters of the Seventh-day Adventist understanding of the close interdependence of the mental, physical, and spiritual dimensions of life;
e. It is anticipated that the recipient can clearly and convincingly articulate their vision of a life of service using their health professions skills to advance not only the mental and physical wellness of those they serve but also helping them develop a saving relationship with God.
This fund was established in August of 1992 by faculty and friends of the Department of Mathematics, in honor of Harold T. Jones, who chaired the department from 1972 to 1982. The scholarship is awarded to students in the Department of Mathematics.

The Hisban Legacy Fund enables the ground-breaking archaeological research begun by professors Siegfried H. Horn and Lawrence T. Established on February 28, 2001, by Greg and Kaye Fenner, this scholarship is to be awarded annually to a deserving student(s) enrolled at Andrews Academy who has a diagnosed learning disability which requires the family to fund supplemental academic support while the student is attending Andrews Academy. If more than one student qualifies for the scholarship funds, the funds shall be divided equally among qualifying students so that each student receives no less than $260, to the extent that there are students who qualify for this scholarship. In the event no student(s) qualify, funds are to be awarded to teachers to further their education experience in regards to learning disabilities.

Each year, students from the Community and International Development Program travel to Madagascar to conduct various community humanitarian & development projects. This year's project focuses on "La Chretienne," a Seventh-day Adventist college. Those students attending are in need of books, computers, and resources to make their education a success.

Established by Mr. Kevin W. Brown and Mrs Margaret K Brown, in May 2021, the Madeline and Robert Johnston Music Department Endowment benefits the needs of the Department of Music. For use in operations, at the discretion of the Chair, endowment income may be used to fund guest artists, instruments, student scholarships, concert series or other events. If specific criteria are met, up to 50% of the endowment value may be used to fund the construction of a new building for the Department of Music.
The Mantasoa, Madagascar Youth Center will be used for training youth to be entrepreneurs and independent business owners. It will help prevent the predatory manipulation of poor youth we witnessed in 2014. The project schedule is to start construction in 2017 and start using the facility by the end/beginning of 2017/2018. The Youth Center is about 17,000 square feet (1,580 square meters), which includes open training space, administrative office/reception, conference room, kitchen, and restrooms. A proposed second level would include future office and dormitory space. The goal is to make the property and facility sustainably support itself by doing the training, renting the facility and grounds to other ministries and end users.
The Department of Mathematics raises funds to support its faculty-student research activities, including peer-reviewed publication and presentation at conferences.
The Chaplain Scholarship will benefit students who are seeking to serve in the military, and who are not sponsored by their conference.

Established by the Class of 1963 as their 50-year class gift, this endowment benefits a scholarship to be awarded to a former student who has graduated from the Mission Pilot Program in the Department of Aviation, and is currently serving or preparing to serve in the Mission Field as a Mission Pilot. Students awarded the PFE scholarship receive age-related disability training and are paired with an older adult in the community to accomplish house and yard work.

Please help us renovate our backyard. PT students spend a considerable amount of time in the PT building and the backyard is a space they enjoy on breaks and for social events. The backyard is in great need of a face-lift! The Romulo Lachica Endowed Scholarship Fund, established in 2021, supports scholarships for undergraduate students from the South Pacific Region of the world.
The Rorabeck Family Endowed Scholarship Fund was started in 2015 by John A. and Christine A. Rorabeck, in honor of their mother Bernita and talented children John and Anna. The scholarship is awarded annually to an American or International student at Andrews Academy who is enrolled full-time at the academy; participates at the academy in at least two different music group genres; and who has demonstrated financial need.

This scholarship shall be awarded to some worthy and deserving student(s) enrolled at Andrews University who is a full-time student, or a part-time student taking classes for the completion of a degree; and has a demonstrated financial need and shows promise of completing a degree. Students whose parents are Seventh-day Adventist denominational employees are eligible to receive this Scholarship.

The Seminary Promise Endowed Scholarship Fund, established by Doris Hall in 2021, provides scholarships to the children of graduate students who are currently enrolled at the Andrews University Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary's Master of Divinity and Master in Youth and Young Adult Ministry degree programs. Students must be enrolled at a Seventh-day Adventist K-12 school or a school approved by the Steering committee. The long-term goal is to introduce and integrate K-12 education into the lives of the future pastors and leaders of the church.

The officers of the Class of 2021 have decided that the class will purchase bleachers for the Recreation Center of the recently constructed Andreasen Center for Wellness.
The Recreation Center is home to three multipurpose sports courts, and the bleachers play a crucial role in providing needed seating for games, activities, and assemblies.

Steaven spent his school years and summers working for Grounds, and this memorial fund has been established by his family to help support the Arboretum that he so beautifully helped to maintain. This program offers high school students living in Benton Harbor a chance to earn high-school credit in Algebra on the Andrews University campus. The students are coached by university students for 8 weeks during the summer. The Summer High School Advancement Program is designed to help students learn to achieve, encourage a college-bound culture, develop college readiness, and provide a positive frame of reference for participants. There is no cost for selected students.

Gifts given to the Edward A. and Verna L. Streeter Memorial Fund will be used to create an endowed scholarship fund in their name. The scholarship will support qualifying graduate students enrolled in an Educational Administration graduate program at Andrews University.
Erwin R. Gane (1931–2021) was a religion professor, pastor, and former editor of the Adult Bible Study Guide. Dr. Gane was a passionate theologian and lover of Church History and believed in the benefits of graduate study for the furthering of the Gospel.
Dr. Gane emigrated with his family from Australia to the United States to pursue graduate studies in theology and received three degrees from Andrews University (MA, MDiv, and MTh). His MA and MTh theses focused on Adventist History and Early Church History respectively. He later completed his PhD at the University of Nebraska in Renaissance-Reformation Church History.
Pursuing his education was a journey of many years and filled with countless sacrifices, both for him and his family. His family has established The Erwin Gane Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor those sacrifices and his passion for Church History. The planned endowment fund aims to ease some of the financial burden for other aspiring scholars and their families and will benefit MA and PhD students studying Church History at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. If endowment funding levels are not reached, funds will go to a general scholarship fund benefitting PhD students at the seminary.

Valerie Phillips, beloved Assistant Dean for University Towers, passed away on December 21, 2011. Dean Phillips dedicated 31 years of her professional career to Andrews University. Frances Faehner, Vice President for Student Life, said of Valerie, "Among her many unique gifts, Valerie made an intentional effort to note and remember the special interests (favorite food, collections, etc.) of her residents. She was known for countless acts of unexpected kindness that were especially meaningful to students missing the comforts of home and family." This fund has been established in her memory.
This fund was established by Dr. and Mrs. Emmett K. Vande Vere on January 6, 1983. Dr. E.K. Vande Vere was a long time history professor at Emmanuel Missionary College/Andrews University. The scholarship is awarded annually to a needy and worthy Andrews University student pursuing a course of study in history, preferably at the graduate level.

Virginia Ellen Eakley Endowed Scholarship Fund created May 10, 2018 by Ms. Eakley. This scholarship funding is awarded to a worthy and/or needy student(s) at Andrews University.
The W. Richard Lesher Presidential Excellence Endowed Scholarship Award was created on October 2, 2017 by T. Ryan and Wendy Keough. T. Ryan Keough is the grandson of Dr. Lesher. This award, at the discretion of the current University president, is to be awarded annually to worthy and deserving student(s) to encourage and award excellence in any area.
This fund was established on October 31, 1989, in memory of Elder William Fagal, founder and speaker of the Faith for Today television broadcast. His wife Virginia, son William Alan, and daughter Kathryn (Mrs. J. Prall) established the fund to benefit graduate students in the Theological Seminary who are preparing for pastoral ministry. If no eligible graduate recipients are available, awards go to undergraduate juniors or seniors preparing for pastoral ministry.
The Wales Family Endowed Scholarship Fund, established by Dana and Dawn Wales in 2022, awards scholarships to worthy and deserving students who are from the Lake Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and are an undergraduate Business School student.

Whitney Wang Watson Endowed Scholarship Award was created December 5, 2017 by Dr. Marilene Wang Watson and Dr. James Watson who are the parents of Whitney. Two students are awarded each year, one in mathematics and one in music. Chairs of the respective departments will select the recipient based on a GPA of 3.5 or higher and to students whose career plans involve service.
